Every year on the first weekend in May, pottery and ceramics studios in Maine open their doors for the Maine Pottery Tour. This fun event connects the public with artists in the community: Visitors can peek in the kilns, see demonstrations, and shop local handmade goods! 2023 is the tour's eleventh year, and dozens of studios across the state are taking part. ​

Here in Bowdoin, our studio will showcase a collection of pottery, sculpture, handmade brooms, textiles, printmaking, glassblowing and more! Our three resident studio artists are thrilled to be joined by these local makers working in a variety of media. Read on to see all participating artists and click their images to see more.
